The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts considerable social media presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent cheerleaders when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates multiple courses worldwide and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He basically advised me to compete and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and maintains the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
However she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially with the next generation.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
