A Palestinian-American youth after completing 270 days in Israeli detention without being charged has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.

American diplomatic officials said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, family members reported.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, and experiencing medical problems acquired while detained.

Through an official statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after experiencing Israel's abuse and inhumane conditions for months."

The state department said it would continue to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety of American nationals"," it added.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to the state department and the White House, urging greater action to secure his release.

The father, parent of four children managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since the arrest, and only heard what had happened to him via legal paperwork.

The teenager remained lacking indictment within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.

It is also home to mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced regarding severe security violations and homicide.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered physical abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials succumbed to assault by radical settlers following tensions in July.

During that period, defense forces stated authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian had died.

Both young men were employed together within the family's frozen treats establishment in Tampa, Florida.

No charges have been filed with Sayfollah's killing.

"We anticipate US authorities to safeguard our relatives," Mr Kadur said.
